Does Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central have a built-in POS?
No. Business Central ships without a point of sale. Bitta Retail POS adds a full touch-first register that runs inside Business Central itself, so sales post straight to your ledger without a separate POS database or middleware.
How does Bitta Retail POS run inside Business Central?
It is an AL extension installed from Microsoft AppSource into your Business Central environment. The register, items, customers, taxes, and posting all use standard Business Central data and permissions - there is no external server to sync.
Can it take integrated card payments?
Yes. Stripe Terminal is the built-in integrated provider: the register commands the reader, tracks every attempt in an EFT transaction ledger, and recovers safely if the browser crashes mid-payment. Any standalone card machine also works through the unintegrated Card (external terminal) tender.
Do I need extra hardware or a print server for receipts?
No. Receipts print silently from the browser via WebUSB/WebSerial direct-to-printer, LAN ePOS, PrintNode, or a Business Central printer, with cash-drawer kick over the same transport. A browser print dialog is always available as a fallback.
How is Bitta Retail POS licensed, and can I try it first?
Install it from AppSource and start with a 30-day trial. Licensing is a signed entitlement bound to your tenant with a per-terminal cap and a grace period, managed from inside Business Central.
Does it support multiple stores and terminals?
Yes. Configuration follows a Store -> Terminal -> POS User hierarchy with per-terminal overrides, per-store cash rounding, cross-location stock visibility, and consolidated end-of-day posting grouped by store and terminal.
Does it include customer loyalty?
Yes. A governed multi-program loyalty engine supports points, visit and stamp cards, cashback, and tier benefits, with value and item rewards, register enrollment, and durable accounting.
